After nearly a decade as a custom knifemaker specialising in Defensive & Martial EDC knives, I established Akitsu Forge in 2026 to mark the start of a new journey into Japanese bladesmithing.

Akitsu Forge specailises in distinct, limited edition, hand made knives that are highly detailed and heavily influenced by the tradition of Japanese Swordmaking. While still remaining modern in their construction and functional in their design. Akitsu Forge knives are recognisable and sought after by Collectors and users alike around the world.

Akitsu Forge also represents the start a new journey into Japanese Bladesmihing. This is an outlet for my artistic vision of what modern Japanese Swords can be.

While heavily influenced by history, my work aims to be faithful to traditional methods and materials, while exploring the use of modern materials and themes.

Everything at Akitsu Forge is hand made by me, and is limited in numbers by its nature.
