I will once again be at the Cape Town Knife Show in October this year. This time under my new Akitsu Forge banner. This is not just new marketing for me, but an entirely new dedicated path and I will have a few new pieces on debut to show off.
The Cape Town Knife Show is fast becoming the premier knife show in South Africa and hosts both professional and hobby makers, as well as guild-members and non-guild members like myself. It is a showcase of skills in all knife and blade making disciplines whether you are interested in EDC Knives, hunting and field knives, kitchen knives, folders or swords.
The Cape Town Knife Show is being held at the Tygervalley Shopping Center, in the Attrium again this year, and will be open on the 24th and 25th of October 2026. Be sure to get there early on day 1 if you want to see the best pieces or have a chance at getting one.
I will be exhibiting pieces from all three collections at the show. My Working Collection holds user friendly EDC knives and utility knives that are great for first time buyers or those looking for practical knives. My Signature Collection holds bespoke, one of a kind, Collectable knives. I’ll also be debuting my first Signature Collection Series – The Dragonfly Series – at the show. Last but not least, I am planning on exhibiting my first, forged Masterworks pieces. Traditional style Japanese Tanto’s.
As always, it will be great to talk about knives, bladesmithing and my work to anyone interested. I look forward to seeing you at the this year’s show.
